Foundation East formerly the Suffolk Regeneration Trust (SRT) is a not-for-profit organisation that operates across Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex.
Loans are available to new businesses, existing businesses, self employed people and social enterprises that can’t get a loan from a bank or need additional funds to match bank lending.
Loans from £1,000 to £50,000.
Personal loans in some areas are also offered in support to people who want to open a bank account.
Foundation East is developing a Community Land Trust to enable local people to own and control local assets. This initiative is designed to create affordable housing and workspaces, particularly in rural communities.
