What are Credit Unions?
Credit unions are financial co-operatives owned and controlled by their members. They offer savings and great value loans to individuals plus they are local, ethical and know what their members want.
Where can I find a Credit Union?
Credit Unions can be found in many areas, or within some companies or associations who have set one up. Each credit union has a "common bond" which determines who can join it.
Examples of Credit Unions in Suffolk are employee schemes for Suffolk County Council, Suffolk Constabulary or First Bus; a scheme for those who live or work in Suffolk; and Rainbow Saver Anglia Credit Union Limited (RSACUL), which is open to anyone who is a member of the Co-Operative Group in East Anglia.
