Community Achievement Awards 2005

Summary

Community Achievement Award Winner 2005 - John Phillips and his contribution to the community.

John Phillips

John's award was in recognition of the work he has carried out for young people in the Babergh district. For many years John has masterminded "Crucial Crew" which results in around 600 9-10 year olds receiving training in safety and community responsibility. His membership of Sudbury Rotary Club enabled him to persuade volunteers from a wide range of sources to help with this event. John's award was received by his wife Gill and Ken Chamberlin,  President of the Sudbury Rotary Club, as he was unable to attend the award ceremony.
