Community Acheivement Award Winner 2006 - David Hazelwood and his contribution to the community.

David Hazelwood

David lives in Shotley and has been Secretary of Woolverstone United Football Club for over 25 years. He has been associated with the Football Club for 49 years being a Player, Manager and most importantly Secretary. David has really worked hard for the Club and has improved the clubhouse facilities by installing toilets, showers and electric lighting. The football pitch is kept in pristine condition and David regularly cuts and maintains the grass and marks out the pitch. David has also organised many fund raising events resulting in thousands of pounds for the Club.
