Community Acheivement Award Winner 2006 - Greta Mason and her contribution to the community.

Greta Mason

Greta is 79 and although never having lived in Raydon, has always expended all her considerable talents and efforts towards serving the village community. She retired in 1987 after 16 years of running the village post office and shop. Greta has given many years of service to the following organisations: Raydon & District Garden Club; the Womens' Fellowship; the Village Hall Management Committee; the Parish Council; the Parochial Church Council, the Church Fund Raising Committee and the WRVS Meals on Wheels. Greta is a very willing volunteer and prepared to take on any task no matter how daunting.
