Community Acheivement Award Winner 2006 - Nicky Rogers and his contribution to the community.

Nicky Rogers

Nicky is15 and one of our young achievers. He is an invaluable member of Liberty’s Youth Club in Sudbury. Nicky joined the Club 5 years ago and we are told by his proposer that he is one of the most helpful young people one could wish for. Over the last four years Nicky has taken it upon himself to make all new members welcome at the Club, always thinking of others before himself. Nicky has organised many events within the Club to help young people to mix and given support to those who need it, especially those members with learning disabilities. He spends time teaching and coaching new members to play pool and has tremendous patience. Nicky was totally responsible for the Club’s promotion last year and gave up many hours in designing posters and displays.
