Community Achievement Awards 2006

Summary

Community Achievement Award Winner 2006 - John Turnbull and Margaret Bull and their contribution to the community.

John Turnbull and Margaret Bull

John and Margaret are both Scout leaders and are winners of a joint award for their work with the 2nd Hadleigh (St Mary’s) Sea Scout Group.

John has completed 27 years service as Skip the Scout Leader.  He has, over the years, given so much of his own time, including holidays for a large number of boys in the community. The quality of his leadership has been exemplary and inspiring for those under his influence and care in Scouting.

Margaret has completed nearly 12 years service as Beaver Scout Leader and retired from leadership last year. Margaret has shown great dedication as Beaver Leader and has given great opportunities to the boys in her care all aged between 6-8 years. The role is very demanding both in time and effort and Margaret has given so much of both.
