COMMUNITY ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS 2007

Summary

Community Achievement Award Winner 2007 - Mary Murray and her contribution to the community.

Mary Murray

Mary arrived in Stoke by Nayland in 1992 and decided immediately that she wanted to do something for the village. After working for Meals on Wheels for 7 years Mary then began organising coffee mornings from her home for the elderly people in the village. The scheme became so successful that there are now 12 coffee morning "hosts" and Mary organises transport for those without cars.
