Katie Liggett - Beaumont Community Primary School, Hadleigh

Details of award presented to Katie Liggett

Katie is a teaching assistant at Beaumont Community Primary School in Hadleigh and has become increasingly involved in educating children about gardening, healthy food and balanced diets. In her own time Katie volunteered to organise a School Gardening Club which is now the School's most popular club. Katie has created a kitchen garden which produces a wide variety of vegetables, sampled by the children and also used for school dinners. The School has won awards for its produce, including one for their potato yield!
