Foundation East:
Lends money to small businesses, self-employed people and social enterprises in Suffolk and neighbouring counties that are unable to get a bank loan. Their purpose is to contribute to the community in Suffolk by enabling local people to achieve their ambitions and in so doing, create jobs and offer services to the community. They are particularly happy to work with community businesses and social enterprises.

The Suffolk Community Mediation Service, run by national crime reduction charity Crime Concern, aims to solve community disputes with a view to prevent future crime and anti-social behaviour. The service is funded by Suffolk County Council, Suffolk Police and the District Councils of Babergh, Suffolk Coastal and Waveney.
