The Family Mosaic Housing Association Floating Support Scheme is a project in partnership with Babergh District Council.
WHAT DO WE DO?
The aim of the Family Mosaic Floating Support Scheme is to work alongside residents who may need help in establishing themselves in a new tenancy or are at risk of losing their existing home.
The objectives of the scheme are:
To enable tenants to look after themselves, living independently in the community.
- To provide a level of support that meets individual need and to enable clients to achieve maximum independence within the community.
- To ensure that tenants are involved in identifying individual aims/goals and in establishing their own support plans.
- To work in partnership with other bodies to meet tenants’ needs.
- To monitor how well these services are being carried out.
ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR HELP?
The scheme is available to anyone apart from those living in supported housing schemes.
They may be able to help you if you fall into one or more of the following categories:
Primarily for people with mental health problems, drug or alcohol related problems, young people leaving care, suffering from or recovering from domestic violence and other vulnerable client groups:-
- who require support to maintain their tenancy.
- who have the potential ability to live without support within a period of two years maximum from the date of moving in.
- who are motivated to accept and work with the objectives of the scheme.
It is not possible to assist every person referred to the scheme, as sometimes we find that a person’s needs may be too high.
It is our intention not to replace care packages, but to complement them.
