The Director of Corporate Services to report, in accordance with Council Procedure Rule No. 13, the receipt of any petitions submitted to the Chief Executive.

QUESTIONS FROM MEMBERS
The Chairman to answer any questions on any matters in relation to which the Council has powers or duties which affect the District and which fall within the terms of reference of the Committee of which due notice has been given in accordance with Council Procedure Rule No. 15.4 – (a) and (b).

ANNUAL REPORT AND STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS
The Director of Finance to introduce the Trustee’s Annual Report and Statement of Accounts for 2007/08 for the Hadleigh and District Swimming Pool attached.
It is recommended that:-
i) The Annual Report and Statement of Accounts for 2007/08 be approved.
ii) That the Solicitor to the Trust be authorised to sign the 2007/08 and future Annual Reports on behalf of the Trustees.
iii) That the Corporate Accountant for Babergh District Council be authorised to sign the 2007/08 and future accounts on behalf of the Trustees.
The Independent Examiner will then sign the statement and opinion (see pages 8 and 9) before the Report and Accounts are sent to the Charity Commission.

EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC (WHICH TERM INCLUDES THE PRESS)
To consider whether, pursuant to Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the public should be excluded from the meeting for the business specified below on the grounds that if the public were present during this item it is likely that there would be the disclosure to them of exempt information as indicated against the item.
The author of the report proposed to be considered in Part II of the Agenda is satisfied that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.
