2 GAMING ACT 1968 (AS AMENDED) SECTION 34 – AWP (AMUSEMENTS
WITH PRIZES) GAMING MACHINES – J D WETHERSPOON PLC
The Chairman outlined the procedure to be followed at the Hearing.
The Head of Natural and Built Environment submitted a report (Paper G9) requesting the Committee to determine an Application under Section 34 of the Gaming Act 1968 (as amended) made by J D Wetherspoon Plc in respect of premises at 67 – 70 North Street, Sudbury.
Members then questioned the Head of Natural and Built Environment.
The Applicant’s Solicitor made an opening address to the meeting in support of the application.
Members then questioned the Applicant’s Solicitor.
All parties were then requested to provide closing comments to the meeting, following which all parties withdrew to enable the Committee to deliberate the Application.
The relevant parties were then invited back into the meeting and the Council’s decision was notified.
RESOLVED
That the Application by J D Wetherspoon Plc for a permit for Amusements with Prizes (AWP) gaming machines in respect of premises at 67 – 70 North Street, Sudbury, made under Section 34 of the Gaming Act 1968 as outlined in Paper G9 be approved.
The business of the meeting was concluded at 10.25 am.
