That the Minutes of the meetings held on 2 April and 24 May 2007 be confirmed and signed as correct records subject to the addition of the following words at the end of the concluding paragraph of the public minute in each case:-
2 April 2007
‘Tenant Services were required to monitor the conduct of the tenant during the six week period’.
24 May 2007
‘The Committee was of the opinion that the Tenant Services Officers did not comply with the decision of 2 April in relation to the monitoring of the tenancy in the 6 week period from 9 April 2007’.

RESOLVED
That pursuant to Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the business specified below on the grounds that if the public were present during this item it is likely that there would be the disclosure to them of exempt information as indicated against the item.
The Committee was also satisfied that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information.

The Minute relating to the above-mentioned item is excluded from the public record. The summarised Minute made by the Proper Officer in accordance with Sub-Section 2 of Section 100(C) of the Local Government Act 1972 is set out below.
The Chairman opened the Hearing and introduced the parties present at the meeting. He stated that the purpose of the hearing was to look at all incidents which had taken place from 31 January 2007, to establish whether or not possession proceedings should be commenced against the tenant. Members had before them the procedure to be followed at the meeting together with Papers G51, G7 and F212. During the course of the presentation of Paper G51 by the Principal Tenant Services Officer, 3 further documents, subsequently numbered as Appendices 28, 29 and 30 to Paper G51, were circulated to, and read by, the Members of the Committee, Tenant Services and the tenant. The hearing was adjourned between 10.35 and 11.05am.
All parties withdrew from the meeting at 11.55am to allow the Committee to deliberate. The parties were then called back into the meeting at 12.45pm and the Chairman notified the decision of the Committee which was to agree that the Head of Community Development proceeds to commence a claim in the County Court for recovery of the property under a demoted tenancy.
The business of the meeting was concluded at 12.50pm.
