ADJUDICATION PANEL HEARING 22 JULY 2009

To report that Mr D Watson, Mr P Down and Mrs K Saward attended the Adjudication Panel Case Tribunal on 22 July 2009 at the Novotel, Ipswich to observe the proceedings concerning an allegation under the Code of Conduct against Councillor Mason of Needham Market Town Council.  Details of the case are provided in the Paper referred to in Item 10 below.

PLANNING AHEAD TRAINING – ORBISENERGY CONFERENCE CENTRE

Councillor Jones to report on his attendance at the Planning Ahead Training on 8 September 2009.

Members are asked to note that following positive feedback from a member who attended the event, St Edmundsbury Borough Council proposes to repeat the training for Standards and Development Committee members at the end of October/November.  Members are asked to indicate if, subject to the date, they would be interested in attending.

ANNUAL MEETING OF STANDARDS COMMITTEES

To remind Members that the annual meeting of Standards Committees will take place at Mid Suffolk District Council’s offices commencing at 1 p.m. on 4 November 2009.
