To confirm and sign as a correct record the Minutes of the meeting held on 17 November, 2008.
4 PETITIONS
The Director of Corporate Services to report, in accordance with Council Procedure Rule No. 13, the receipt of any petitions submitted to the Chief Executive.
5 QUESTIONS FROM MEMBERS
The Chairman to answer any questions on any matters in relation to which the Council has powers or duties which affect the District and which fall within the terms of reference of the Committee of which due notice has been given in accordance with Council Procedure Rule No. 15.4 – (a) and (b).

9 ANNUAL ASSEMBLY OF STANDARDS COMMITTEES
To receive a report from those members of the Committee who attended the Annual Standards Board conference in Birmingham on 13 and 14 October 2008. (Consideration of this matter was deferred from the meeting on 17 November).
10 OBSERVATION OF PROCEEDINGS AT COMMITTEES
The Chairman to report on his attendance at recent Committee meetings.
11 TRAINING FOR PARISH AND TOWN COUNCILLORS
The Monitoring Officer reported to the Committee on 17 November 2008 that training sessions for parish/town councillors would be held on 3 February 2009 at the Stoke-by-Nayland Club and on 10 February 2009 at the Holiday Inn, Ipswich. Invitations were sent to all parish/town councils in December 2008 under the theme, “Complaints and How to Avoid Them.” The Suffolk Association of Local Councils has been consulted on the events and will send a representative to each session.
Paper Copies of the draft agenda and training materials are appended (Paper H173) and H173 the Committee is invited to approve the training programme and select from the list of workshop models those secenarious that it considers most appropriate for use at the events.
Note: At the conclusion of the meeting a training exercise published by the Standards Board on local assessments will be available for Members of the Committee.
