The Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) provides a financial framework for the Council’s strategic planning and decision making. The MTFS 2011/14 incorporates key factors such as the Government’s forthcoming Comprehensive Spending Review, our spending plans and the level of savings that are likely to be needed to keep Council Tax affordable. By anticipating financial pressures now, we can plan ahead early to meet the significant challenges in a way that ensures financial resources are targeted to the Council’s highest priorities and the minimum impact on services.
