View of Broom Hill

Broom Hill is largely formed from glacial sand and gravel.  Material was quarried from a small area for the local brickworks, situated where Brick Kiln bungalow is now.  The brickworks closed in 1928 but little else is known of its history and where the bricks were used.  It is rumoured that they were of a soft crumbly texture, so perhaps none survive!  If you have any information about the brickworks, please let us know.
