Training and Assistance

Summary

Information about health and safety training.

Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations employers must:
  • Ensure that their employees are provided with adequate health and safety training.
  • Appoint one or more competent persons to assist them with the measures they need to take to comply with safety legislation.

There are a wide range of training courses available, including those accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and the National Examining Board for Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).

Details of training organisations and consultants are available in the ‘yellow pages’ and other listing directories.
