World Environment Day and Recycling Week 2008

Summary

World Environment Day and Recycling Week 2008information

Today (June 5th 2008) is World Environment Day, and the slogan for 2008 is 'CO2 - Kick the Habit! towards a low carbon economy'.
Take your first step today towards reducing our carbon footprint; visit the Reception at Babergh's offices in Hadleigh all of this week and next week to learn what you can do to help.  A free low energy light bulb is offered to anybody completing a Energy Saving Trust questionnaire and handing it to Reception staff.

Further information on Climate Change is available at: Climate Change

This week is also Recycle Week, and with the national theme being "one more thing you can recycle", recycling officers  across Suffolk's Local Authorities have come together to launch a brand new project to recycle bras.  Tell your colleagues, mums, sisters, aunts, and grans to recycle their unwanted bras.  All proceeds from the recycling scheme will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

A full list of bra recycling points can be found at: Suffolk Recycling
