House Condition Survey (2002)

Summary

The survey results identify the extent of existing problems in the housing stock and indicate the level of resource needed to make an impact.

A house condition survey of private housing allows the Council to monitor its housing strategy and policies in the light of legislative and other related changes. It allows the Council to review its strategy for meeting the requirements of the Home Energy Conservation Act (HECA).

The survey results identify the extent of existing problems in the private housing stock and indicate the level of resource needed to make an impact.

The survey methodology utilised follows Department of Transport, Local Government and the Regions (DTLR) guidelines.
