HAVE YOUR SAY ON THE TWINBINS

Summary

HAVE YOUR SAY ON THE TWINBINS

Local residents have a chance to have their say about Babergh District Council’s Twinbin Scheme at two public meetings due to be held next week.

Organised by the TwinBin Scrutiny Working Group, the meetings will be on Wednesday 24th March at Capel St. Mary Village Hall and Thursday 25th March at the Stevenson Centre in Great Cornard.

Open sessions will be held at 4pm and 6pm and will be attended by the members of the working group which was set up last year to monitor the progress of the TwinBin Scheme. The Scheme has been rolled out in phases across the district, with the last phase due to be incorporated by the early spring. Recycling rates in those areas already in the scheme have nearly doubled to 31%.

"Babergh are inviting all Parish and Town Councils and a number of residents who have previously contacted us about the TwinBin Scheme" explained TwinBin Project Manager David Botwright. "However, we would like to hear the experiences and observations of any resident and this is the opportunity to come along and make your views known".

Comments arising from both meetings will be fed back to the meeting of the Overview & Scrutiny (Community Services) Committee on Tuesday 30th March.
