Babergh District Council is once again seeking names for its highly successful Community Achievement Award Scheme which is now in its 13th year. This year nominations can be made not only through Parish Councils and Schools but also via other recognised community organisations.

 

Jill Barton, organiser of the scheme says “Although we are now in our 13th year of running the scheme I believe that there are still a great many people in our district regularly making a difference to their communities and schools and who deserve recognition.”

 

Jill went on to say “Following the launch of our Youth Strategy in June we have better links with local schools and so I am hopeful that we will receive even more nominations for young people this year.   Prolog, the Sudbury based e-commerce business specialists, continue to sponsor us and our Award Ceremony will be held at the Stoke by Nayland Club on Wednesday 23rd February 2005.  Mark Murphy from the Radio Suffolk Breakfast programme will again compere the event.

 

Nomination forms have been circulated to Parish Councils and Meetings, Schools and other recognised community organisations such as the Community Education Youth Service, Connexions and the Out and About Trust. A full list of these organisations (PDF, 32kb) can be found on our website.
