PINING TO COMPOST YOUR REAL CHRISTMAS TREE?

Residents in the Babergh district will shortly receive the latest issue of ‘Sort It’, Babergh District Council’s environmental newsletter. 

The ninth issue of the newsletter is the launch pad for the return of Babergh’s Real Christmas Tree disposal service.  The Hadleigh-based District Council will have 24 collection points across the District where residents can leave their real Christmas trees for disposal in January. 

Malcolm Firth, Babergh’s Head of Environmental Services said “We would like to thank the Town and Parish Councils who have helped us to provide collection points for local people to leave their Christmas trees.  The only thing we ask is for residents to ensure that all decorations are removed, and that trees are left at the designated collection points by 9pm on Sunday 8^th January”.
