Do you need to call Babergh? Well, now it is now easier than ever with the launch of a new set of phone numbers.
Members of the public are being encouraged to call our new Customer Service Team phone numbers in a bid to make Babergh’s services more accessible.
Babergh’s published numbers have been dramatically slimmed down to just four - and each has a dedicated customer services team waiting to deal with and resolve callers’ enquiries.
The changes were unveiled to residents in the latest edition of Babergh Matters!
Bob Southgate, Head of Customer Services, said: "These four new numbers are big step towards making it quicker and easier for residents to contact Babergh.
“People rightly expect a straight answer, straight away without any fuss – these changes will meet that expectation.
"We pride ourselves in trying to deal with residents' queries or problems as quickly as possible and this is about connecting the right call to the right person.
"The teams have been working hard training to deal with a wide range of subjects.”
The numbers are:
· MONEY MATTERS: 01473 825798 – for all calls relating to Council Tax, benefits, Business Rates and housing rents.
· PLANNING: 01473 825858 – for all calls relating to planning permission and development control.
· COUNCIL HOUSING: 01473 825757 – for all calls relating to tenancy information, repairs, home alterations and disabled adaptations in council accommodation.
GENERAL ENQUIRIES: 01473 826622 – for all calls relating to car parks, concessionary fares, bus passes, travel vouchers, job vacancies, pest control, sport & leisure, and other general enquiries. ENDS
