The full results were as follows:

Peter Burgoyne (Conservative)  261
Jan Byrne (Independent)   138
Reginald Smith (UKIP)    66
Richard Whiting (Liberal Democrat) 446

There were 6 rejected votes cast and the overall turnout was 27.4%.

Cllr. Richard Whiting’s election means that the composition of the parties on Babergh is as follows:

Conservative   19
Liberal Democrat  16
Independent    7
