Babergh District Council has written to key groups who have expressed an interest in the application by Tesco to build a superstore in Hadleigh that the issue is unlikely to be heard by the Council’s Development Committee until later in the summer.
Babergh has requested extra information from Tesco on the proposed access arrangements to the Brett Works site, its suggested flood mitigation measures and on a range of ecological issues.
According to Babergh’s Chief Planning Control Officer, Nick Ward “given the nature of the three applications from Tesco, such a request for more information is not unusual. However, we thought it important to ensure that the key groups interested in the issue were informed that there will not be a meeting of the Development Committee as early as initially planned”.
The application is available for the public to view it at Babergh’s Hadleigh offices or on the tesco planning application web pages on the Council’s website.
