Local List Information
The Local Validation Requirements document (PDF, 305kb) was approved for consultation purposes by the Development Committee at its meeting on 9 January 2008. Consultation was undertaken with various national and local bodies, town and parish councils, architects and agents, between 18 January 2008 and 3 March 2008. The document was formally adopted by the Council on 15 April 2008 and comes into effect on 15 July 2008. After this date, it may not be possible to register applications which are not accompanied by the relevant national and local information.

Annex B (PDF, 75kb) of the Local Validation Requirements document (PDF, 350kb) contains a glossary of our local requirements detailing in what circumstances additional documentaion is required.
All of the national requirements listed in the checklist must be satisfied when an application is submitted. It is not, however, possible to identify the local requirements for every type of development proposal. Applicants may therefore wish to make enquiries of the District Council before making an application in order to determine the relevant local requirements or view the Local Validation Requirements document (PDF, 350kb).
Failure to provide all of the information needed to satisfy the national and relevant local requirements will invalidate the application and it will be returned to you.

Alternatively, an online facility on the Planning Portal enables you to find the correct form and you can then either complete the form online or print the form off and submit your application on paper.
