This page contains information on the copying charges levied by the Development Control department for reproductions of Tree Preservation Orders and planning related documents such as Decision Notices and Section 106 Agreements and for photocopying of other documentation.

If you would like a copy of any documentation then you will usually find there is a cost to cover the administration in producing these copies. Please contact the Planning Support team on 01473 825858 for an accurate costing of the information you need.

Please note the the OS Maps are produced under a special licence from Ordnance Survey, you can also obtain OS Maps direct from the Ordnance Survey website.

Please note that the historic planning application files are on microfiche up until the end of 2004. From 2005 onwards the historic application files have been electronically scanned, you may have copies of any of the pages from a microfiche or scanned file at the same cost, 10p/page (first 10 copies free).

Plans, drawings and other materials submitted to the local authority are protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (Section 47). You may only use material which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current applications with previous schemes, and to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans. Further copies must not be made without prior permission of the copyright owner.

Babergh District Council reserves the right to remove or not display certain planning application information for confidentiality or other reasons. This may include sensitive personal or financial information or documents containing details of protected species. It also includes the telephone number, email address and signature of applicants.
