Babergh residents are being urged to start a blitz on litter and eradicate the rubbish as their local council launches the start of a six-week Spring Clean programme.
If you would like to organise your own litter pick during the Spring Clean campaign please contact 01473 826654 or email: open.space@babergh.gov.uk.
Babergh, which is also supporting BBC Radio Suffolk's Don't Be a Tosser 2010 initiative, has 100 litter pickers and hi-visibility waistcoats to give away to parishes.
Please call or email the open space number above. Supplies are limited and will be allocated to those parishes who pledge to adopt-an-area in their community and regularly clear it of litter.
To take advantage of Babergh's free voluntary surrender of unwanted vehicles please email: environmental.protection@babergh.gov.uk or call 01473 826623.
